When do we start to practice?
Monday July 26, 2010. For the first 4 weeks, we will practice
Monday thru Friday, up to 2.5 hours a day (maximum 10 hours per
week), times to be announced. The first 10 hours of practice is
mandatory conditioning. Anyone missing any of these hours will
be required to make up the hours in the next week prior to any
type of contact.
After Labor Day, we go down to 3 nights a week, days and times
to be announced.
When will our Head Coach contact us?
You will receive a call after July 4th to announce your first
parent meeting.
How long does the season last?
The regular season begins the first weekday in August and
continues through until the end of October. Any team who has
qualified for playoffs will continue playing until their team is
eliminated. Schedules and game locations for playoffs are
announced during season.
How many day/hours do the players practice?
Practice is 5 days a week during August (10 hours per week).
After Labor Day Holiday, practice is reduced to 3 days a week (6
hours) except for Flag football which is reduced to 2 days a
week (4 hours). Normal practice days are Tuesdays, Wednesday
Thursdays & optional Friday unless scheduled otherwise by the
Head Coach. Times are determined by the individual teams.
How many football games are in the Regular Season?
There are 10 league scheduled games. Additional games will be
played when the teams make the playoffs.
When and where are games played?
All home games are on Saturdays at Lynwood Middle School. Away
games will vary by location. Playoff games may be scheduled on
Sundays. Your Head Coach will provide a schedule of games &
times.
Do I need to buy any equipment?
The league provides the following equipment on loan for the
season:
- Flag players will receive a pair of game pants
- Tackle players will receive a helmet, shoulder pads, practice
jersey, practice pants, 7 piece pad set, game pants and away
jersey.
It is a parent’s responsibility to provide cleats an athletic
supporter. We will give each player 1 mouth piece. Additional
mouth pieces $3
NOTE:
Is it mandatory to fundraise?
Yes, our League requires each participate to either fundraise or
pay a buy-out fee. Deposits are non refundable These funds are
used to provide your child with gifts & an end of season
banquet.
Are there age/weight guidelines?
Your child will be placed in teams on a first come, first served
basis determined
by their age & weight.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Participants in the Tiny Mite division shall be limited to
first-year tackle players ONLY.
The seven (7) year old in the Mitey Mite division for football
only must weigh a MINIMUM of 60 pounds to play in that division.
It is in the discretion of the City/Association to permit a
seven year old in the Mitey Mite division |
